Lightning rod bases are used to hold the rods in place and connect it to other lightning protection products and equipment. Bases are typically made out of copper and aluminum and are to be used with, and on, compatible materials. Lightning protection bases come in many different styles for different applications. For example, you can get adhesive type bases for systems that require no penetrations, bases with no lightning protection conductor attachments for use where a conductor is not required.
